What or who inspires you?: In Go Go or any genre? Sheila E- Her beauty, talent and longevity in the industry Mary J Blige- Her transparency, her story, her contribution to music, she’s relatable to her fans. What has been your favorite performance so far?: Kilaminjaro What is the most difficult thing about being a woman in GoGo?: The competition instead of working together as a team. It’s a lot of followers. The band managers and promoters. What has been your biggest music/GoGo career highlight so far?: Opening up for Trey Songs as a rap artist, at 14 winning the Pepsi Rap IT UP competition. Releasing my 1st CD and being able to be apart of this movement. Do you have any advice for aspiring female artists?: It’s ok to be different, be patient and educate yourself about the music business. What is your brand/company if any? (your business or brand): We Wear Hair When you perform and the audience sings along, how does that energy make you feel?: It feels amazing to have the audience interacting. What do you think is the most significant barrier to female movement?: The women being on one accord for the correct reason.
